The rules for using kaytey.com, in plain words. By using the site, you agree to them.

Using Kaytey Designs

You can try the font generator without an account, and sign in with Google to get monthly credits and keep your fonts. Please use it fairly: don’t try to break it, overload it or get around the credits, and don’t upload anything illegal or hateful.

What you upload

Only upload images you own or have permission to use. Your image is sent to an AI image service to redraw the lettering, and the font is built on our server. We don’t keep the image you upload. A font you don’t save is kept for about 30 minutes so you can edit it.

The fonts and codes you make

They’re yours to use, for personal and commercial work. See the License for exactly what you can do with them.

Showing your work in our marketing

When you save a font to My fonts, you let Kaytey Designs show that font in our marketing: its alphabet, sample text set in it, and the alphabet drawing it was traced from. That includes this website, social media, launch pages such as Product Hunt, and ads. We won’t show your name or email with it unless you agree, and we never show the image you uploaded, because we don’t keep it.

If you’d rather we didn’t, delete the font from My fonts and we won’t use it in anything new.

Credits and payments

Credits are explained on the Pricing page. Bought credits never expire and aren’t refunded once spent, but if a font fails to draw, its credits go straight back. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details.

QR codes

The QR code generator is free and works in your browser. Test a code before you print it: we can’t be responsible for a code that doesn’t scan where it’s printed.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep the tools running and the fonts good, but the site is provided as it is, without a promise that it will always be available or that every letter will come out perfectly. You can fix letters in the editor before you download.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date below shows the latest version.
